Chuck Brown, widely known as the "Godfather of go-go", died Wednesday of pneumonia at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Hospital spokesman Gary Stephenson confirmed Brown had died after a hospital stay that started almost a month ago on April 18.

Pastor Marvin Winans was robbed and carjacked at a Detroit gas station Wednesday afternoon. Winans was at a Citgo Gas Station when f our men followed him out and assaulted him while he was pumping gas. They punched him and ripped off his pants during the incident. They also took his purple Infiniti QX56.

Although Facebook is widely used, few users surveyed in an Associated Press-CNBC poll claimed to click on the site's ads or purchase the virtual goods that make money for the site. More than 40 percent of American adults log in to the site to share news, personal observations, photos and more at least once a week. Approximately 900 million people around the world use Facebook. Many of these users don't think very highly of Facebook or trust it to keep their information private.

On May 15, 2011, Egypt Cares Family Foundation, in partnership with Atlanta's #1 Radio Station, V-103 FM, Black Opal Cosmetics, and Hair Design by Future Vision Salon presented the 3rd Annual "Egypt's Mommy Makeovers" Celebration. 10 deserving women from throughout the Atlanta metropolitan areas were selected to receive a day of pampering and complete transformation from head to toe by some of Atlanta's top hairstylists and make up artists such as: Bridget Criden, Carmen Harris, Tekoa Hash, Nickey Martin, and Trent Simmons.

There is a national movement taking place among Old School Hip Hop artists and DJ's. It is called Mama Luke Hip Hop's Fight for Breast Cancer. They are beginning a national tour to further promote awareness in about 12 cities, and are trying to garner support from urban radio stations across the country.
